Football Film Festival is delighted to have worked with director Steven Sander to present the Australian premiere of the unreleased Director’s Cut, including 10 additional footage from Tim’s journey at the FIFA World Cup.

The story of two young female athletes who grew up on either-side of Australia and their vastly different journeys to the World Cup Finals in Germany

A story about two Australian Aboriginal girls who make it to the 2011 FIFA World Cup in Germany. One learnt her A’s and B’s in the back of the family van as they traveled across the outback, the other attended a private school. One is a goal keeper and the other is a striker.

Take a journey with the Australian women’s national team, the Matildas, as we follow the rise of Kyah Simon and Lydia Williams, we both make their claim for starting spots on the game’s biggest stage.
