10 years on from that famous night, witness a hair-raising documentary on Australia's greatest ever sporting moment with the green carpet world premiere of November 16. Join us as we officially close the 1st Football Film Festival!

2005. Australia has not qualified for the FIFA World Cup since 1974, which was held in the old West Germany. Since then, the Socceroos have suffered heartache after heartache in their attempts to make the worlds most prestigious tournament, losing playoffs to a Maradona led Argentina in 1993, in remarkable fashion to Iran in 1997 and Uruguay four years earlier. Having finished bottom of their FIFA Confederations Cup group just months before, and drawn against fierce South American opponents Uruguay once again, Australian hopes are low.

With the appointment of Dutch maestro Guus Hiddink as national coach, the emergence of the Hyundai A-League, and Australia moving into the Asian Confederation, expectation and belief is on the rise. Could the curse finally be broken, that the Socceroos could once again take their place on the world stage in Germany 2006?

32 years of torment. 32 years of failure. 32 years of waiting... November 16, 2005.

Join us for an exclusive Q&A session with the cast and crew, including Directors Ben Coonan and Richard Bayliss, Socceroos greats Alan Davidson and Josip Skoko, hosted by the Herald Sun's David Davutovic
